Colleen Rice

About

Colleen is a Licensed Professional Counselor-In Training (LPC-IT) at Lighthouse Counseling Center. She believes therapy is not about having someone tell you who you are or what you should do, but about creating space to slow down, notice what is happening, and become more curious about yourself. Her work centers on helping clients recognize the places where they feel stuck, explore what may be underneath those patterns, and develop greater capacity to approach themselves and their experiences with curiosity and acceptance rather than judgment.

Colleen’s therapeutic approach is integrative and grounded in the belief that healing involves the whole person. She draws from a variety of counseling approaches and tailors therapy to the individual in front of her, creating a space where clients can feel seen, heard, and understood. She works collaboratively with clients experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief, identity exploration, and difficulty navigating life transitions.

Colleen has experience working with clients across the lifespan and values the unique backgrounds, identities, and life experiences each person brings to therapy. She is passionate about mental health advocacy and believes therapy can offer an opportunity not only to work through difficult experiences, but also to develop a deeper relationship with oneself.

Outside of her work, Colleen enjoys spending time with her husband and their four pets, reading, traveling, collecting rocks, and creating beadwork.
