Piper Linssen
About
Piper is a Clinical Intern Therapist at Lighthouse Counseling Center, working under the
supervision of Cassandra Schraft, LPC, Clinical Director. She is in her final semester of
graduate school, pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lakeland
University, and plans to graduate in May 2026.
She brings experience from a variety of mental health settings, working with children,
teens, and adults. Piper has facilitated groups in inpatient programs for adults, supported
survivors through nonprofit domestic violence organizations, and worked with children in day
treatment programs, among other settings. She is now expanding her experience to include
outpatient therapy and virtual, school-based mental health services. This broad experience
allows her to meet clients where they are and provide care that is compassionate and tailored to
each person’s unique needs.
Piper’s approach to therapy is grounded in a complete absence of judgment. She
prioritizes each client’s needs and works to create a safe space where they feel comfortable
sharing and processing their experiences. Drawing on an understanding of how the body and
mind influence emotions, she integrates this awareness into her approach to support holistic
healing. She is passionate about helping clients build on their strengths and foster resilience to
navigate life’s challenges. When appropriate, Piper incorporates creative expression to help
clients explore their emotions in meaningful ways. When working with minors, she enjoys
collaborating with parents and guardians to support growth within the family unit and strengthen the parent-child bond.
Outside of work, Piper enjoys reading and listening to audiobooks, practicing yoga,
going for walks, and staying active at the gym. She is a proud cat mom and loves spending
hours on the couch with her kitty. Piper values time with her family and friends, though she
prefers smaller, more intimate social settings.
